According to RAM, the 2021 RAM 1500 TRX and 2022 RAM 1500 TRX are “by far the quickest, fastest, most powerful pickup trucks in the world” and the most powerful production street-legal half-ton pickup ever built. And no, it isn’t bragging. We’ll let the numbers do all the talk.
Powering the 2021 and 2022 RAM 1500 is a “Supercharged” 6.2-liter HEMI® V8 – the same engine that’s under the hood of the Dodge Charger SRT® Hellcat and Dodge Challenger SRT® Hellcat. However, on the RAM 1500 TRX, the V8 maxes out at 702 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque which is enough to launch the 6,866-pound pickup truck from 0 to 60 miles an hour in a mere 4.5 seconds. For comparison, that’s a full 2.5 seconds quicker than the 0-60 mph time of the 5.7-liter HEMI V8 powered standard RAM 1500. That’s not all. The supercharged half-ton pickup can hit the 100-mph mark on the speedo in the mid-10-second range and cover the quarter-mile in the high 12s. This makes the RAM 1500 TRX the fastest accelerating truck in the world.

RAM 1500 TRX top speed
Not only are the power and acceleration numbers of the RAM 1500 TRX more than any truck on the market, but the TRX is also faster than any other truck on the market, with a top speed of 118 miles per hour.
Having said that, the TRX can easily offer top speeds of up to 180 mph, like the Jeep Trackhawk and the Dodge Durango, both SUVs that can hit the 180-mph mark but the top speed of the TRX has been electronically limited to 118 mph due to the speed ratings of its massive 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory all-season off-road tires.
What else is the RAM 1500 TRX faster than?
Apart from other trucks, the RAM 1500 TRX is faster than many superfast sports cars, including the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 and Porsche Macan Turbo. In fact, the TRX is only 0.4 of a second slower than the Lamborghini Urus Super Sports Utility Vehicle.
