Performance specs for the new 2020 Jeep Wrangler EcoDiesel V6 engine
A couple months ago, we gave you a quick insight on the projected engine options that the 2020 Wrangler would bring to the table – there’s been much speculation that a new diesel engine could make its way to this iconic model, but until today, that had just been a rumor. Now we can officially announce that there will be a diesel engine coming for the 2020 Wrangler, and folks, it’s a beauty. Come with Boucher CDJR as we show you the performance specs for the new 2020 Jeep Wrangler EcoDiesel V6 engine!
Engine specs and tech features of the 2020 Jeep Wrangler’s 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 motor
Starting first and foremost with its raw power ratings, the 2020 Wrangler’s EcoDiesel option will be one of the strongest in its class. That’s unsurprising given the nature of the Jeep family, but the overall power rating that this engine will boast are nothing short of spectacular. By pressing the pedal, you can unleash up to 260 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque; if those numbers sound familiar, that’s because this will be the same engine available on the 2020 RAM 1500.
To help you harness all that adrenaline, the 2020 Wrangler’s EcoDiesel engine (available on all four-door Wrangler Unlimited trims) will be paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission complete with an engine start-stop system. As is customary with Wrangler models, you’ll also have a high-performance four-wheel drive system to work with, for unrivaled off-road capability.
